Abstract: Like every Research and Develop facility where a huge number of resources invested in, the need to optimize the productivity by alleviating the cost including time, money, and human resources of this department is strong. At Fossil Vietnam, an R&D facility, forming an idea and implementing it in a real product involve a number of teams like Algorithm, Science, Software, Hardware, and Firmware. With the constant pressure from other competitors, shortening the process is always an urgency. An existing solution for that issue is using an easily understandable and simple-to-use language, and Python is one of those. For microcontrollers, MicroPython is currently an optimal solution for such target programmers. With the current version of MicroPython, we had to write and port a new firmware of our board as well as update the library to the frame work. Also, the LittlevGL graphic library is also a new integration to MicroPython in order to assist the design process. Due to the poorly supported display driver of LittlevGL, we had to write one for our display module. The final system would incredibly reduce the time and difficulties during a process of researching and developing a new product.
