Abstract:
The fourth – generation wireless communication (4G) systems whose most popular standard known as Long-Term Evolution (LTE) has been the most successful wireless mobile broadband technology across the world. Despite being a very capable technology and being still received upgrades and new features from the telcos, there are requirements that are not possible to meet with LTE. Moreover, it has been over 10 years since the work on LTE was initiated, the technology development allows for more advanced technical solutions. To meet these requirements and to exploit the potential of new technologies, a new fifth – generation (5G) radio access knows as New Radio (NR) has been standardized and developed.
In this Capstone Project, we study “Mitigating the degradation effects of fading channels in wireless communication” which focus on the communication between User Equipment (UE) and gNodeB (gNB) where UE plays as the transmitter and gNodeB plays as the receiver. The system studied in this project is just a small but crucial part of a whole 5G system.
