Therefore, Server room should always be monitored at all times. However, the long distance from the office (on the 2nd floor) to the server room (on the 11th floor) takes a lot time to move and observe the systems as well as collecting data. In some specific situations, the maintenance staff might be put in danger because of some risks such as fire or electric leaking. Hence, a smart remote system is necessary for the server room. In this project, we decided to design and implement a control system in observe the temperature, humidity, electricity and water leakage of server room. We use an application of Internet of Things to excute the project because of its popularity, familiar and simple. This system is a combination of an embedded computer, a microcontroller, a wifi chip and considerable sensors to make the project perfectable. First of all, many kinds of difference sensors are put into the corners of the room to measure the Temperature and Humidity and in the Air-conditioner to detect the Electric Current and Water Leakage. After that, the microcontroller (integrated with a WiFi chip) collects and sends data to the server throught Wi-Fi and MQTT protocol. Last but not least, an embedded computer plays the most important role in this system. It is not only a hotspot to share Wi-Fi for the microcontroller connected, but also the server to store the data and send commands to the system in under any circumstances. |
