Abstract:
Designing and manufacturing a gesture-controlled robot using a flex sensor and an angular accelerometer MPU6050 is a research and development project for a robot that the human gesture can control. In this project, the group of students used the flex sensor to recognize gestures by measuring the flexion of the fingers and the angular accelerometer MPU6050 to measure the robot's tilt angle. Then the signals from the sensors are processed by the Arduino microcontroller to control the robot’s motors. To test the robot's operation, the group of students assembled the robot and performed many tests with different gestures. The results show that the robot can control well with gestures such as moving, rotating, raising, and lowering its head. In summary, this project has successfully designed and manufactured a gesture-controlled robot using a flex sensor and MPU6050 angular acceleration sensor. This project can provide users with a simple and convenient means of controlling the robot.
